I am a third year PhD student at Mathematics department, Utrecht University. I work with Dr. Tristan van Leeuwen, in the fields of seismic imaging, level-set methods and geometric inverse problems. My PhD project is part of ‘Computational Sciences for Energy Research’ (CSER), a joint large-scale public-private partnership between Shell, the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) and the Foundation for Fundamental Research on Matter (FOM).
My interests are in the field of inverse problems and seismic imaging, and broadly, (salt) geometry reconstruction in seismic full-waveform inversion. I collaborate with Prof. Wim Mulder from TU Delft and Shell Global Solutions on (salt) geometry reconstruction methods in seismic full-waveform inversion (FWI) and with Prof. K. Joost Batenburg from Computational Imaging Group at Centrum Wiskude Informatica on computational imaging problem that involves partially discrete objects.
I completed my bachelors and masters (Dual Degree - B.Tech. + M.Tech) from Department of Aerospace Engineering (AE), Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, in 2015. I worked under Prof. N. Hemachandra and Prof. R. P. Shimpi on risk aversion in supply chains with contracts.
I am passionate about education and have been involved in educational outreach and mentoring activities. Along with research and education, I cherish interesting conversations on startup and artificial intelligence.
